CONVERSION TO DIGITAL MÄRKLIN 3002.1 (CEB800) WITH 5-POLE MOTOR AND SOUND DECODER Factory version with 3-pole motor and direction-relay for analog use.

Visible cables are the originals feeders for + power and +used for lighting fore and aft, which will be ussed also i the digital version.
Field magnet and 5-pole rotor fitted onto the chassie. Märklin conversion kit 60943 is used.
Bearing plate fixed together with soldering lug for connecting of chassie minus and the motor is now installed.
Green Choke coils included in the Märklin kit solderd onto the motor.
Light bulbs "minus" pole insulated by red shrink tubing. Light bulbs minus potential is not the same as chassie minus. Blue connection from decoder used as bulb "minus". Speaker used is 20mm ESU Art no 50331 4ohm speaker. The speaker is used without sound chamber, due to lack of space.
To the left of the speaker, just behind the chassie, the decoder is fitted. Decoder used is ESU Micro V4.0 art no 54898. 27 functions including sound programmed. Digital functions: F0: Front light, F1: Sound on/off, F2: Whistle, F3: Sanding, F4: Fan, F5: Compressor, F6: Shunting mode, F7: Curve Squeal, F8: Aux1 (Not in use), F9: Compressor, F:10 Coupler, F11: Radio communication, F12: Station announcement, F 13: Radio Communication, F:14 Station announcement, F15: Short whistle, F16 Door open/close, F17: Creaking wheels, F18: Station announcement, F19: Fan, F:20 Disable sound, F21: Fade out sound, F22: Compressor, F23: Set/release handbrake, F24: Pantograph up/down, F25: Radio Communication, F26: Conductor signal, F27: Radio communication.
